Choosing the right yoga class for you

Updated: Nov 18, 2021

Choosing the right yoga class can be a difficult task: what style should you choose, what teacher, and where? We all know that we should practise yoga regularly to stay flexible but it can be hard to find what you’re looking for. To simplify your search we've created this guide to help you.

Choosing the right yoga class is important.

First, you want to find a class that is suitable for your level of experience. You also need to find a class where you are comfortable with the other participants, so take some time to check out the studio before you sign up. If you are new to yoga, it is important to know that there are different types of yoga classes available. If you want something gentle and calming, a Hatha Yoga class is probably best for you. On the other hand, if you prefer something more active and vigorous, an Ashtanga Yoga class might be perfect. You can also choose between a group class and a private lesson. Group classes may be more affordable than private lessons, but they can also be intimidating for individuals just getting started with yoga. Private lessons may not be as affordable and they often require more commitment on your part than group classes do, but they allow participants to learn at their own pace and work on areas of concern without having to compete with others in the room.

When deciding between yoga classes, choosing the right class is essential. Knowing your options will help you better choose a class that fits your needs and learning style.
